What happens now

This session of your tattoo is finished and the skin is now healing before the next stage can safely continue.

Large or multi-session tattoos require recovery time so the skin can fully settle before more work is added.
Working on skin too soon can damage the tattoo and affect how the ink heals.

During this period the tattoo may look brighter, then dull, flaky, or slightly uneven — this is normal while new skin forms over the area.

No additional tattooing should be done until the skin has properly healed.

What you need to do

Follow your aftercare instructions and allow the tattoo to heal naturally.

Avoid irritation and give the area time to recover before planning the next appointment.
We will move to the next session once healing is complete.

If you notice unusual symptoms, contact the shop.

Typical Timeline

Initial healing usually takes about 2–3 weeks depending on placement, size, and your body’s healing speed.

Some areas may take longer due to movement or friction.

To keep this moving fast

Follow aftercare carefully
Keep the tattoo clean
Avoid friction or tight clothing
Avoid soaking in water
Let peeling happen naturally

To avoid delays

Don’t pick or scratch
Don’t over-moisturize
Don’t try to schedule the next session yet
Don’t judge final brightness during healing
