What happens now

Your tattoo work is complete and the skin is now entering the healing phase.

Over the next few weeks the tattoo will go through several normal changes as the skin repairs itself.
Color may look brighter at first, then dull, cloudy, flaky, or slightly uneven before settling.

This is part of the normal healing process while new skin forms over the tattoo.

No additional appointments are needed right now unless discussed with your artist.

What you need to do

Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist.

Keep the tattoo clean, lightly moisturized, and protected while it heals.
If you notice unusual symptoms such as increasing redness, significant swelling, discharge, or fever, contact the shop or a medical professional.

If you have questions about healing, you can always message the shop.

Typical Timeline

Surface healing typically takes about 2–3 weeks.
Full settling of the skin and ink can take several more weeks depending on placement and your body’s healing speed.

Some areas heal slower due to movement or friction.

To keep this moving fast

Keep the tattoo clean
Moisturize lightly
Avoid soaking in water
Avoid sun exposure

To avoid delays

Don’t pick or scratch
Don’t swim, soak, or use hot tubs
Don’t over-apply ointment
